Dr. Mohammed Arafah

 

Biography

DR. MOHAMMED RUDWAN ARAFAH was born on February 28, 1955. He completed his MBBS from Riyadh University in June of 1981. He was recognised as a Qualified Angioplasty Staff from the university of Toronto, Toronto General Hospital, Canada. He has obtained certification, from the American Board of Internal Medicine (1981); Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (1986); and the American Board of Cardiovascular Diseases (l987).

Dr Arafah has attended a number of International Conferences and Symposia, such as the Angioplasty-Live Demonstration Course (San Francisco Heart Institute, 1988 and France 1988); USCI 3rd Angioplasty Fellow Seminar (1988); American College of Cardiology (1989-1993); European Cardiac Society (I995)

Dr: Arafah is currently the Professor of Cardiology at king Saud University and Head of Cardiology at the King Khalid University Hospital in Riyadh. He is an active member of various medical organizations· and associations, such as Fellow at the American College of Physicians; Fellow at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada; Fellow at the American College of Cardiology, Member of the Saudi Heart Association and Associate Director of the Scientific Committee of the Saudi Heart Association.

Many of Dr. Arafah's work have been published in various International journals such as the International Journal of Cardiology, Catheterization and Cardiovascular Diagnosis; Annals of' Saudi Medicine; American Heart Journal and the Saudi Heart Journal.
