Dear participant: 

On behalf of the 12^th Saudi Neuroscience Symposium Organizing Committee, the Stroke Program in Riyadh Armed Forces Hospital and SAGAS would like to welcome you for the 2^nd Saudi TCD Workshop and hoping it would be beneficial and valuable for your practice. 

The objectives of this workshop are summarized in the following: 

1.     To obtain reasonable information on TCD principles, techniques and applications.

2.     To have an exposure on how to operate TCD machine and perform test.

3.     To correctly identify intracranial and extracranial vessels with Doppler. 

These objectives are to be fulfilled through comprehensive and condensed lecture on various aspects of TCD and then you will have the chance to operate a TCD machine yourself (in the hands on jobs session) to be familiar to the technique and you will discover how simple it is. 

The main areas to be covered in the hands on jobs session are: 

·        Demonstration of TCD machine

·        Demonstration of complete TCD test on a normal individual

·        Handling probes and machine software by applicants

·        Examining extracranial vessels

·        Examining intracranial vessels

·        Demonstration of abnormalities on patients or on simulator
